Bunker Tour

Location: Groedepodium

Step back in time and discover the hidden stories of Stützpunkt Groede. Join the bunker tour and visit the impressive bunkers dating back to 1942—silent witnesses to the Second World War. It is an adventure for children: flashlight in hand, they search for secret details within the bunkers and discover the colorful paintings soldiers used to camouflage their structures.

Night of the Night, Nieuwvliet Windmill

Location: Nieuwvliet Windmill

Small lights adorning the windmill sails beckon you inside, where a wonderfully cozy atmosphere awaits. Enjoy the unique, festive, themed decor, sit by the fireplace, and help yourself to complimentary coffee, tea, or lemonade—all while experiencing the life of a miller within the turning windmill. There will also be a demonstration of wool spinning on a spinning wheel, as well as a presentation on wool dyed with plant-based materials.

Retranchement Autumn Special

Guide Soan will take you on a walk through the polder, highlighting the flora growing at this time of year. Magnifying glasses and identification cards will be available for children.

Aardenburg Hobby Market
7 November 2026
Location: Sint Bavostraat 5, Aardenburg

On 7 November, the St. Bavo Church in Aardenburg will host its annual hobby market.
Stroll past the tables, discover unique handmade creations, and be surprised by the wide variety of hobbies on display. In between, you can enjoy coffee, tea, soup, filled rolls, *oliebollen* (Dutch doughnuts), and waffles. An atmospheric outing in historic Aardenburg.

Canadian Liberation March

Location: Hoofdplaat–Knokke

The start is between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. at the Westerscheldedijk in Hoofdplaat. If 33 kilometers seems too far, there are also options to walk 8, 10, 14, or 19 km. The starting point for these distances is Alfred Verweeplein in Knokke-Heist, with start times between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
